Samoa
Samoan people have different ways to learn and show how to be respectful. This is all about how our samoan parents teach us and how we honor our families and serve them in different ways.
Samoan families are founded on 4 posts standards . That is love (alofa), service(tautua), Respect (Fa’aaloalo) and lastly Obedience (Usitai) . By applying these qualities in our everyday lives, we show others that we were raised well, therefore bringing honor and respect to families. From youth Samoans are taught by parents to be respectful to all. In the Samoan language this is called “fa’aaloalo.
One of the phrases that reflects to me is about being respectful. The phrase is O le ala I le pule o le tautua and that means the path to leadership is through service, this saying is all about serving others by being respectful, helping each other, using your manners, and being polite.
The other phrase is from a song and it is Taumasuasua la’u ipu which means my cup runneth over and the cup should be filled with things that are useful and things that will help you in life for example like Family, friends, knowledge that God gave you and other things.
The last phrase is a phrase about keeping the distance between each other and the phrase in samoan is Teu le va which means keep the distance between each other by being respectful, disagree but not be mean, keeping the relationship between each other and being kind to each other.

Niece's Birthday
The theme for my niece’s birthday was disney so me and my nephew decided to dress up as Mickey mouse so I wore a red toto and a mickey mouse headband that had a bow and my nephew had a Mickey mouse onesie.
When we got to the Inflatable world I was so surprised because there were so many bouncy castles and there were 2 different sides, a little kids side and an older kids side.

Diary entry
My favourite part of the trip was the scientist because we had to try and draw a tornado then stick it on the pencil and put the tea lights near it to see if it could work but it actually worked I was really surprised thinking it wouldn’t work.
The food we had at KPMG was deliciously amazing. And for morning tea we had from spring rolls and a side of water and juice. For lunch we had mini burgers, fruit and spring rolls. It was very delicious.
We did a quiz about the solar system and some questions were very difficult. The team that got most of the answers right gets a prize and The person that had the best name for there planet got the prizes as well and that was me, my name was karen.
On behalf of the yr 7 & 8 group that went to KPMG we would like to say a huge thank you for inviting us to come and enjoy doing different activities and have fun thank you very much we really appreciate

Title: how to be a good daughter to your family
I am going to explain to you how to be a good daughter and what that looks like. Help your family with the chores and take extra responsibilities and when your parents are trying to share some information with you, always listen and be thankful for everything that your parents have done for you.
Make sure that you do all your chores without your parents having to remind you. Beyond that, take on extra responsibilities, as well. Clean not only your room, but the common areas like the living room and dining room, too and your parents will appreciate the extra help. Don’t take any shortcuts on your chores and always do a good and thorough job.
When your parents are giving you advice or just sharing information with you, stop and listen to them. They have a lot of experiences that you haven’t had yet, so respect their knowledge. Use their advice in your life so you can avoid mistakes you have made.
So now that you’ve read my story about “Role Models” are you strong, powerful and motivational enough to be a good role model? Everyone has the strength to be a role model. So use your strength and become a better role model then you already are!
