First we went to the place where we did her birthday, there were people from her church already there. When we all arrived we all waited for her to come up the stairs, when she came she was shocked to see us there to celebrate her birthday. My cousin and I went and gave her our present and it was a cute teddy bear and a sign that said Jordana and it was all white she was so delighted.
After that we gave her a 21 birthday key. She was really happy but she was tearful.

Reading
The second thing that I found so interesting is that it’s a long way from the Kingdom of Tonga, which is about 2,000 kilometres north of New Zealand.
The third thing that I found interesting is that the group is learning about Tongan culture and how to make ngatu, a cloth made from bark. Ngatu is known as tapa in many Pacific countries like the islands.
The fourth thing that I found so intresting is that Ngatu is made from the bark (tutu) of the paper mulberry tree (hiapo). Making ngatu is called koka‘anga. Ngatu is very important in Tonga. It is used for blankets, mats, clothes – and even kites.
Last of not least the thing that i found interesting is that Over four months, the group has made twenty large pieces of ngatu. Each woman takes a piece home. At home, they plan the design and then paint the ngatu. They might use designs of turtles, fish, birds, and animals. They might include the Tongan flag. Each piece of ngatu tells a story.

Converting units
This week we are learning how to convert units. You can use in this kind of maths millimetres, kilograms, centre metres, tones for this one you will need to convert cm to mm,tonnes to kg and litres to ml so you will have to convert these. It had different converting unit questions, but still sort of the same filling in the gaps task. I found these quite easy because I was the one that did the task like this last week so I think that I am starting to understand Slide 5 was when we had to fill in the gaps, but we had a few letters. We used the answer we had from slide 5 to answer slide 6. We had to find the answer we put in slide 5 to crack the code. The code was really hard because I had to keep going back and forth. Sentence Types
Talofa Lava, Today I had a google meet with Mrs Tele'a for literacy. For writing I am learning how to write a simple, compound and a complex writing. These are the things that you need to do in order for you to have a good sentence type.
1 The words make sense and express a complete thought.
2 It begins with a capital letter and ends with a full stop, exclamation mark or question mark.
3 It contains a predicate, and a subject. The predicate, or verb tells what the subject, or noun, is doing.
The other thing is how a simple sentence.
The most basic type of sentence is the simple sentence, which contains only one clause. A simple sentence can be as short as one word.
The Compound.
A compound sentence is when you join two sentences together using a conjunction.
The most common conjunctions are; and, although, because, but, if, or, thought, where, whether.
Conjunctions that indicate time are; before, until, since, when, whenever, while.
Last of not least complex sentences and things you need to do.
Complex sentences are made up of one main idea that is supported by
one or more related ideas. The main ideas does not need to come first.
Complex sentences need punctuation, usually commas.
WHERE DOES THE PUNCTUATION GO?
It was a beautiful summer’s day as Alan, with his prize held high, paced towards the pier.
It was a beautiful summer’s day (probably the hottest that year) as Alan paced towards the pier.
It was a beautiful summer’s day as Alan paced -with a bounce in his step- towards the pier.
