Day 3 Easter Learning Journey
I think that I might wanna go and visit Tane because it looks like it is going to have heaps of trees and trees are important because that it how you breath if there are no trees then you will not be alive. and because I heard that it is a place that looks just like a forest. When you go there, there will be like you are going for a hike.Did you know that it is New Zealand's forests provided Māori with rich inspiration for sayings and expressions, as well as the means of life. Tāne, the god of the forest, separated earth and sky and let light into the world. These actions became the basis for important rituals and oratory on the marae. do you know what Tāne Mahuta, also called Lord of the Forest, is a giant kauri tree (Agathis australis) in the Waipoua Forest of Northland Region, New Zealand. ... It is named for the Māori god of forests and of birds (see Tāne). The tree is a remnant of the ancient subtropical rainforest that once grew on the North Auckland Peninsula.Access to iconic kauri Tāne Mahuta could be restricted to paid tour groups only, in an effort to control kauri diebackIn Maori mythology, Tane Mahuta was the god of the forest and the birds

Talofa Yolanda. You would love to see Tane Mahuta! I got to visit there a few years back with my family, Tane Mahuta is HUGE! It stands so tall and proud - a real symbol of strength and protection! I would love to read about the other 2 places you'd like to visit. Thanks for sharing the information you have here about this magnificent tree. Malo lava Yolanda
